Anoter update

Today I found out that Haley was career changed.  I am a bit sad that she didn't make it with PAWS.  But the good news is she was accepted for training at Leader Dogs for the Blind.  I will have to wait for more updates.  More news later.

Another update

Haley has definitely upped her confidence and loves to retrieve.  She is a sweet and usually compliant girl.  They are a bit concerned of her barking at things.  She is very playful and happy at the training center.

Update on Haley

Today I received my first update on Haley.  She at first was a bit uncomfortable in the kennels.  She also had some trouble with being a little sensitive to sound and visual distractions but they are watching for changes to that.  Haley is easy to praise with petting and is nicely responsive to the leash.  Overall they think she is a sweet little girl but needs a boost in her confidence.

Update on "H" Litter

Harbor was career changed late in 2012 and was adopted by his puppy raiser. 
Happy was career changed in early 2013 and was adopted by his puppy raiser.
Henley did not pass her temperament test when she went to HQ and was adopted from the program by a nice family.  And sad news just heard Horton also was career changed from PAWS but was accepted in the Arson Detection Program.  Good luck to all the "H" puppies and hope you are thriving well.

Temperment Test

Haley passed her temperament test today and will start her training tomorrow.  It was also said that she showed a natural response to sounds so maybe a Hearing Dog Training will be her future?  you go girl we are so proud!

Last class

Today is the last day of training class for me and my sister Henley.  On April 1st we will go to doggie college in Grand Rapids to continue our training.

Happy Birthday Juno

Today we celebrated my sister juno's 3rd birthday.  Mom even bought us some doggy cakes to eat. And yes we had to wear the birthday hats too!

Today I turned one along with my sister Henley.  We celebrated our birthday at training class and shared our bone with the other dogs in class.

Spring is here

Happy St. Patty's Day

These last few days I spent time with my sister, Henley's family.  So Henley stayed with my family and I went to Amy's house.  It was great--no dogs, cats, or kids.  It was a lot quieter.  We did journey out quite a bit.  We went to downtown Detroit to participate in the Corktown Races.  I won a medal for walking 5km.

Breakfast

Today I had breakfast with my sister, Henley, and her foster mom, Amy.  We had to lie down and stay while they ate breakfast I couldn't understand why we couldn't have food too.

I want to help too

Quite often Haley is in the kitchen with me while I am cooking or cleaning up.  Many times I am washing my hands and I have a towel hanging from the oven door.  I will be trying to grab the towel and find it missing only to discover that Haley has stole it.  this time I caught her in the act.

But mom the floor need cleaning!!

Pizza

Today we celebrated my mom's birthday with the family.  We all had pizza at The Green Lantern and there was a long wait to get a table.  The smells put my nose on overload and there were some food on the ground.  When mom told me to "leave it" I listened even though I  didn't want to.  When we sat at the table, the kids complained that I got all the attention and mom was busy explaining why I was wearing my cape.  Many people wanted information on the PAWS organization.  Talk about being the talk of the town.

PAWS for reading

Today I went to Blanche Sims Elementary in Lake Orion for an assembly.  This school has helped PAWS in fundraising for 22 years and I went to help the kickoff for PAWS for reading.  The whole school saw me and they were excited and loud.  I was a very good puppy and sat quietly when I was introduced.

Leave It

today my mom put my senses to a test.  She put all these treats around me and I had to "leave it", meaning I could not eat any of it.  I listened well and afterwards she gave me and my sister a dog cookie.

Also found out today that my college days are coming sooner than I thought.  I was scheduled to go to college the first week of May, now I am leaving April 1st.

shopping

Today I went shopping at Meijers.  I was very good at not pulling at my leash and sitting when asked.

After shopping I was a bit tired and decided to take a rest in my kennel.  My sister, Juno, joined me.

My mom's son was looking for his hat.  I sure don't know what happened to it.

Hope

Today I went to Paws Headquarters in Grand Rapids.  I needed to visit the vet to get some x-rays taken to make sure my hips and elbows were in great shape.  While I was busy doing that, my foster mom visited my real mommy, Hope.  Here are some pictures of her, don't I look a bit like her?

My sister, Juno looks just like her.  Good news, my x-rays came back with excellent news!!

I went up to Paws headquarters in Grand Rapids before Christmas and had my picture taken.  Enjoy the pictures.

Dentist

I went and visited the dentist today.  Everyone couldn't believe I was the same dog when they saw me six months ago.  I sure have grown.  The noise from the instruments didn't even bother me at all.

Hockey Game

Today we had a PAWS outing at an ice hockey arena.  I loved to watch the puck glide across the ice and see the players right up close to the window.  I was on my best behavior.  Afterwards our whole group went to eat at Bagger Dave's and I slept under the table.

"Under"

Today I met my sisters, Henley and Happy at Somerset Mall.  We were practicing to walk loosely on a leash and "under" different tables and chairs.  Don't we look great together?

SNOW!!

Today we finally got some real snow!!  Before it was a dusting or a couple inches but now we received about 6 to 8 inches.  I loved playing in the snow and eating it was delicious.  My sister, Juno and I played for quite a long time.  Mom would throw snowballs at us and I would catch them.  sometimes my sister, Juno would catch them, then the chase was on.  I would chase her and try to the the snowball out of her mouth and it would always disappear.  I still haven't figured what happened to them.
