Hide and Seek

Today my mom was so proud of me at training class.  I am learning to walk on the leash without pulling so much.  I get so excited at all the smells that I just want to walk faster and I pull forward.  Mom then reminds me that I need to heel and I come around and stay by her pant leg.
But at training class class we were also working on recalls.  Recalls is when the instructor holds your leash and my mom walks to the end of the room and calls my name and I need to run toward her no matter what.  Well, we had 6 dogs lined up on each side of the room and everyone got there turn at recalls.  Each time everyone went we moved in until the dogs were facing each other about 3 to 4 feet apart.  At each recall I ran to my mom without hesitating and didn't even get distracted.  I then received some treats and many praises for doing so well.  The other dogs in the class did great too.

After training class I helped my mom weeding her flower beds and chasing around my sister Juno in the yard.  It was such a hot day that I kept on looking for the coolest place to lay down.  I think I succeeded in hiding from everyone too.  See if you can spot me in the pictures below.

Deroit People Mover

Today PAWS had an outing to Detroit to ride on the People Mover and walk around downtown.  We first met at the Troy office so we could carpool.  We had 2 other dogs in the car and we all acted our best.
We all met at the People Mover by Greektown casino.  We had a total of 10 PAWS dogs on the People Mover, including my sisters, Happy and Henley.  We rode the mover 2 times around and then get off at the exit before Grrektown casino so we could walk back and get used to the sights and smells.

Music in the Park

Today I went to Dodge Park and listened to a band called Annabelle Road.  The city has free concerts on Thursdays for anyone who wishes to listen.  I just listened and the loud music didn't even scare me.  There was so many people there and many wanted to pet me but mom said I was working so I couldn't be petted.  I didn't even go after any other dogs, I just laid on the blanket with my family.

Busy Day!

Today I very busy in the morning.  We went and visited many doctors offices.  I first visited a Dr. at St. John Hospital in Detroit.  I was a good girl and just laid down and was quiet.  Then we needed to walk in the hospital to get some tests done...I waited while a bunch of test were done.  When I needed to use the outdoors and looked at my mom and barked once and she took me outside so I could get some relief.  Here I am laying in the waiting room while some tests are getting done.

After the hospital we went to Subway for lunch and I just laid down and slept.  I did a bunch of walking...that hospital was so big.

Afterwards we needed to visit the Pediatricians office.  I practiced my "under" in the waiting room.
I am learning so much.

Under the chair
I am sure tired from such a busy morning.  Now I will rest.

Escape artist

I turned 12 weeks old this week.  I am looking cuter everyday!!

Last week I put Haley in her kennel for the night.  When I was done reading I went to lock up everything and noticed she was downstairs sleeping on our shoes.  I thought I was seeing things.  I put her back in her kennel and made sure it was locked.  The next day, my daughter Emily put Haley in the kennel and thought she locked it.  We were watching her slam her paw against the door and it sprang open and she sauntered out like "I'm Here!"  She sure is one smart puppy.  We just need to make sure that the door latches on the top and bottom next time.

Trip to vet

Today I visited a place that had a bunch of different smells.  The people there were so nice to me.  I even saw other dogs and cats.....they called this place an animal hospital.  I don't feel sick but I was told I was getting some pokes so I don't get sick.  My mom took me to Platz Animal Hospital.  She knows Chris Platz for over 15 years.
They put me on this counter and Chris gave me some treats while I got a shot...didn't even feel a thing.

They weighed me today and I am 25 pounds.  No one could believe that I was only eleven and half weeks old and that I weighed this much.  Mom kept calling me a heifer even though I am cuter.
Is this Haley???

I just loved all the attention at the vet today and had such a good time.

Love that Music!

This past week I attended Allen and Erika's band concert.  There was so much going on.  Tons of new sounds for me, like cymbals crashing, drums banging and hand clapping.  I was not even afraid of all the sounds.  I even tried to join in.  When everything was quiet I tried barking to get everyone's attention.  Everyone thought I was so cute.

The rest of the concert I kept quiet and enjoyed the music.  Afterwards there was punch and cookies and my mom talked to people and I got to hang out on the coooooool floor.
